***Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine)***
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience preferred but will consider new graduates.
Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Registered Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine) :
As an RMA or CMA you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, reconciliation of medication, rooming patient, documentation in patient charts (EHR), calling in patients for follow-up on labwork, assisting the provider during the patient's visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in the heart of Elizabeth City, NC!
Requirements for the CMA or RMA:
- Required: Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant through a national company
- Required: Completion of an approved Medical Assistant course
- Required: BLS
- Required: COVID vaccination or medical waiver
- Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Registered Medical Assistant:
- Preferred: 1 (one) year of paid experience
- Preferred: experience in the Internal Medicine field
