GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To perform and/or assist cardiologists with all cardiac ultrasound procedures done in the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
Performs and assists cardilogists with all echocardiograms done in the out patient clinics and surrounding hospitals.
Prepares an accurate echocardiogram report for the cardiologist Assures frat fre equipment is in good working order.
Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding department and exams done.
Participates in departmental and hospital wide Process Improvement.
Ensures that generic/unit safety measures are met in the department. Rotates 24 hour on call duties.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
-Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
Registered Echo Tech, Registry eligible or certified Echo Tech.
