Davis County Health Department, WIC (Women, Infants & Children) Division is currently hiring for a full-time Registered Dietitian in Clearfield, Utah. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that helps families eat well, learn about nutrition, and create healthy lifestyles. The program provides healthy foods, individual nutrition counseling, group classes, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health agencies.
PAY RANGE:
$ 24.71 - $ 38.10/hour
*Salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics.
Must be licensed as a Certified Dietitian by the State of Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
Preference for related work experience in public health.
Preference for fluency in Spanish and English (fluency defined as proficiency level in both languages as evidenced by the ability to verbally interpret from English-to-Spanish and from Spanish-to-English, as well as the ability to translate written documents from English-to-Spanish and from Spanish-to-English).
Must pass a criminal history background investigation.

Day to Day Duties
- Provides information on program services, instructions on proper use, and requirements to participants, nutrition needs, and preparation of nutritious meals.
- Measures height, weight, and head circumference of clients; takes blood samples for lab work.
- Evaluates physical data, medical, financial and nutritional history.
- Refers clients to appropriate community partners.
- Provides nutritional counseling and class instruction.
- Documents counseling and client progress towards goals.
