Our patient base is rapidly growing so we have opened up both Full and Part Time employment opportunities just for you in the Valdese and Lenoir areas ! Benefits are offered for Full Time employment opportunities but some offers may extend to Part-Time employment, such as bonuses, etc . A Part-Time 2-3 days per week opportunity is available right now for a Registered Dental Hygienist that could potentially turn into Full-Time work if desired by Fall 2024. Candidates must possess a Registered Dental hygiene license to apply , have excellent communication skills, possess a warm, caring, positive attitude, exhibit patience while demonstrating compassionate patient care all in a team player family friendly environment . Dependability is a must ! To be considered for FT , a candidate must be willing to commute one day a week to our Lenoir office if applicable and help fill holes on your schedule, as needed. Job Description

• patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection and taking blood pressure and pulse, if applicable.

• taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)

• CT Scan 3D Technology

• removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth

• applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)

• teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
  (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)

• counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health

• making impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth used by dentists to evaluate patient treatment needs)

• documentation skills

• Dental charting and maintaining accurate and proper documentation related to patient treatment

• Perio Charting

• Adhering to proper infectious control protocols and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment

• Accurately provide patient dental health education explaining the need of related treatment and providing value and patient understanding

• Taking initiatives to ensure hygiene schedule is full at all times throughout the month for better patient follow up care and work flow efforts

• Patient education

• Treatment Planning

• Making every effort to inform the front desk of treatment the front desk needs to schedule

• Sending patient communications via text messaging

• Making efforts to help maintain your own schedule and fill any holes

• Providing adequate coverage for your schedule when you plan time off; time off is never a problem as long as you can help provide coverage for that time unless it is secondary to illness
