Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and recordkeeping
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Experience
- Familiarity with medical imaging software for dental x-rays
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and patient assessments
- Appointment scheduling and record management
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
