Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the dental team and ensure the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and providing excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing instruments, and passing instruments to the dentist
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record patients' vital signs
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take impressions of patients' teeth for study models
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental or similar programs is a plus
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic anatomy is required
- Strong infection control practices are essential
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (Itero) is a plus

Expected hours: 27 – 33 per week
