Position Summary
Gateway Living is a unique campus-style setting where one can feel at home while receiving 24-hour personal care and services. Our campus has 11 homes which consist 6 homes for residents with Memory Care needs, four homes for residents who have Mental Health needs and one house for our Residential Care residents. A successful candidate will be someone able to demonstrate the ability to utilize effective communication skills to create and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff and residents. And the ability to work independently dedicated to supporting each resident.
This position requires the ability to work as an integral part of a direct care team providing clinical support; Be responsible for all resident care matters involving: Medical aspects of admissions, assuring all service plans are up-to-date and complete, provide delegations, adhere to personnel and medical policy, and procedure, maintenance, and accuracy of all medical records, assign and provide medical training to Caregiver II and III's, investigate medical S.I.R.'s and take appropriate action, report resident care or housekeeping concerns, provide day to day medical status of residents. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with and understand residents with difficult dementia/mental illness diagnoses and must be able to understand and comply with all program rules, regulations, and other government regulations (i.e., HIPAA, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Certified with the Oregon State Nursing Board
- 1-2 years of experience as an RN in either a Residential Care Facility, Mental Health program, or similar experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology as well as mental illness diagnosis and/or Dementia treatment
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check
