Rousso Adams Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic, located in Mountain Brook, is a distinguished surgical center and clinic specializing primarily in facial plastic surgery, encompassing procedures such as rhinoplasty, facelift, blepharoplasty, laser skin resurfacing, hair transplants, facial implants as well as Botox and filler injections. With two expansive operating rooms, two wonderful board-certified facial plastic surgeons, and a clientele of thousands of vibrant, healthy patients, we are committed to excellence. Complementing our services, our full medical spa is staffed with three master estheticians. Currently, we are in search of an experienced full-time registered nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical histories, current health statuses, medications, and aesthetic concerns.
- Treatment Planning: Facilitate pre-consultations to discern patient needs and aid in crafting treatment plans for surgical and non-surgical procedures, spa treatments, and skincare regimens, aligning with clients' objectives, preferences, and financial considerations.
- Injection Procedures: Prepare injectables, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, PRP, and other aesthetic enhancements, for physician use.
- Client Education: Enlighten clients on the benefits, risks, and anticipated outcomes of injectable treatments and facial plastic surgery procedures, furnishing comprehensive pre- and post-procedure guidance and addressing inquiries.
- Assist with Client Inquiries: Provide assistance and information to clients regarding their inquiries.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous and precise medical records, recording patient data, treatment plans, and procedural outcomes, while adhering to privacy regulations and upholding client confidentiality.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to stringent infection control measures, ensuring a pristine and sterile work environment, and remain abreast of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory mandates concerning injectable procedures.
- Post-Operative Care: Execute post-operative care duties, including the removal of splints, sutures, staples, and other surgical necessities.
- Perform EKGs and Labs: Conduct EKGs and lab tests on pre-operative patients.
- Medication Administration: Oversee all medication administration before, during, and after surgery.
Qualifications:
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Energetic and Bubbly: Must possess high energy and enthusiasm.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in Alabama.
- Certifications: Certification in BLS and ACLS.
- Experience: Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism in interactions with patients, colleagues, and physicians.
- Critical Thinking and Leadership: Strong critical thinking and leadership aptitude.
- Patient-Centric: Dedication to delivering exemplary patient care.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in general computer usage and familiarity with specialty practice management and electronic health record software.

- Hours: Monday-Friday with occasional rare nights and weekends.
