Summary:
The SCA Regional Sales Representative (RSR) will call on local Hospital Pharmacy Directors, Pharmacy Leadership, and Procurement Specialists, in a hybrid sales model (virtual and live) to achieve sales goals.
Essential functions:
- Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders
- Building and maintaining relationships with Pharmacy Director at the local hospital level
- Developing strategic plans to introduce products for cross- and up-sell
- Demonstrate exceptional understanding of market access opportunities, challenges and effectively communicate pull through tactics supporting customers.
- Maintain a positive and compliant working relationship with Commercial Team and office staff
- Engage prospective and current customers in a 75% virtual setting, driving end-to-end sales process
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Develops accounts by checking a customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining value
- Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
- Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree in a related field and/or 3+ years’ sales experience
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Strong over-the-phone communication skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to understand and utilize Industry Standards and Best Practices
- Confidence while speaking to clients and strong presentation skills
- High energy and motivated self-starter
