HD Hyundai Energy Solutions, a South Korea-based global manufacturer of PV modules for the solar industry, is seeking Regional Sales Managers for its U.S. subsidiary, HD Hyundai Energy Solutions America (HESA). These positions are divided into the west and east regions and report to the Director of Sales or C.E.O. The successful candidate will have a proven track record selling in the solar industry and will have already developed existing relationships with decision-makers in customer organizations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the regional market for different channel opportunities to sell Hyundai PV modules, from residential through distribution to commercial and utility projects through developers and EPC’s.
- Prospect, develop, and close sales opportunities within the region to meet and exceed target sales volume and margin
- Develop and manage business relationships with potential and key customers within the region, with a focus on distributors, developers, EPC’s, and financial institutions.
- Recommend and execute pricing and product placement sales strategies
- Develop product-specific sales programs
- Develop action plans for effectively building and acquiring sales leads and opportunities.
- Keep existing customers by providing outstanding customer service to develop customer loyalty
- Manage the entire customer selling process including forecasting, order entry, product delivery, and payment collection by working closely with HESA departments.
- Assist in the implementation of marketing activities.
- Stay current on the market and provide prompt feedback to management on product trends, competitor sales activities, and market conditions and changes.
- Coordinate responses to quote requests and RFP’s
- Provide sales forecasts and annual sales plans
- Represent the company in regional and national exhibitions and conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline preferred), Marketing background desirable.
- 5 years experience with a solar equipment manufacturing company with demonstrated success.
- Experience with distribution sales channels a plus.
- A self-starter with a proven track record of growing sales and building and managing customer relationships.
- Ability to think creatively in ways to enter markets and separate HESA from the competition
- Ability to assess customer needs, present product solutions, and close sales
- Ability to determine the key decision-makers in an organization and develop a relationship with them.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and negotiations skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Existing network of relevant industry contacts in the region.
- Proficient in MS Office and some familiarity with CRM systems
- Willing to travel routinely within the region and periodically to the US headquarters office in Newport Beach. Travel may be up to 50% of the time.
- Valid Drivers license and passport
