Job description

We are ServiceMasterRestoration Services! One of the largest disaster restoration companies in the US – we provide water damage and fire damage services to residential and commercial customers – is in search of a Regional Manager for our newest location in Philadelphia, PA as well as our East Coast locations. This Regional Manager will be responsible for driving the continued growth of a multi-million-dollar branch, which includes hiring, supervision, and development of all production staff; building and maintaining customer relationships; and implementing solutions that support the company’s growth goals. This position reports to the East Regional Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead your team in their achievement of all branch and company goals.
  • Manage branch production staff, including technicians, project managers, and contract labor; and indirectly manage branch support staff as required.
  • Develop your team to achieve their best, including but not limited to goal setting, 1:1 coaching, regular performance feedback and reviews, compensation setting discussions, training and development plans, etc.
  • Hire awesome talent, and ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
  • Create a culture of excellence.
  • Solve problems efficiently and effectively utilizing resources directly within your control and those outside of your control leveraging your leadership, regional counterparts, and shared services support teams.
  • Manage mitigation projects in your assigned territory in accordance with the responsibilities of a project manager.
  • Organize, plan, and conduct training for mitigation personnel in required technical skills, customer service skills, technology skills, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee team member capacity, balancing workload across your field management team; and as required, roll up your sleeves to actively ensure project success.
  • Determine work procedures, vet work schedules, and expedite workflow, including tracking, managing, and communicating “on-call” schedules.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain performance standards and measurements through which approved plans and goals are accomplished within your team.
  • Ensure technician teams are prepared for daily duties.
  • Ensure technician teams are fully compliant with various service level agreements and documentation requirements; facilitate feedback and collection of required documents, photos, and CRM notes as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage the production vehicle fleet in concert with your fleet manager and fleet mechanic
  • Manage equipment allocation, maintenance, and inventory in concert with your facilities support team.
  • Ensures shop/warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 – 3 years of related experience in the disaster restoration field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-10+ years people management experience, with an eye for hiring talent, and a focus on staff training and development.
  • Great person/leader-- leadership ability, business acumen, judgment, adaptability, and humility
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities with the highest attention to detail
  • Customer-centric attitude serving our (home/business owner) policyholders and insurance adjusters.
  • Continuous improvement mindset-- fixing and creating new processes with the help of your shared services counterparts in finance, HR, IT, safety, procurement, fleet, facilities, etc.
  • Belief that a culture of safety is key to your team and the company’s wellbeing.
  • Desire to excel in managing a 24/7/365 emergency services (disaster restoration) business.
  • Disaster restoration industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Computer proficiency— email, MS Office, CRM, Xactimate, etc.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Position is onsite. Travel is required
