Key Purpose


The Regional Environmental/Green Impact Coordinator drives positive environmental change within our company while supporting efficient project execution. This individual will be responsible for:


  • Project Management:
    Ensuring smooth project execution through effective planning, organization, and communication.
  • Sustainability Leadership involves identifying opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint by analyzing data, developing creative solutions, and implementing approved sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Building strong relationships across departments to integrate sustainability considerations into daily operations and staying current on industry trends to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement.


This position provides a unique opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about sustainability to gain valuable experience in project management and environmental stewardship while impacting our company's environmental performance.


Key Accountabilities


The Regional Environmental/Green Impact Coordinator will collaborate and exert influence across various areas within the company:


  • Project Teams:
    Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure smooth project execution, address any arising challenges, and integrate sustainability considerations where relevant.
  • Sustainability Team: Work closely with the Sustainability Manager and other sustainability team members to develop comprehensive sustainability initiatives, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts.
  • Departmental Representatives: Build relationships with representatives from various departments (e.g., Facilities, Procurement, IT) to understand their needs, identify opportunities for collaboration in implementing sustainability initiatives, and promote company-wide adoption of sustainable practices.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient project completion within scope and on schedule.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings, keeping stakeholders informed through clear and concise communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project reports.
  • Assist project managers in identifying and mitigating potential risks and proactively developing contingency plans to address any challenges.
  • Prepare and manage reports that track project progress, performance, and key metrics.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience in project coordination, sustainability, or a related field (strong internship experience highly valued).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across different departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to finding solutions.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to contribute to positive change within the company.


Physical Demands & Work Environment


  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods


ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $77000 per year - $83000 per year. Final
compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the abovementioned range.
