As the Regional Distribution Center Manager, you will:
- Leads by example in all staff and customer dealings in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
- Conducts regular staff touch bases, to provide individual feedback, assignment status, goal review, and coaching.
- Responsible for annual and scheduled reviews for all direct reporting employees.
- Regularly provides facility and employee performance feedback to direct manager.
- Recognizes staff for superior customer service, goal accomplishment, or other satisfactory work performance.
- Supports and adheres to company policies and procedures, most especially those commonly challenged in the workplace such as safety, dress code, attendance, professionalism, and
- Ensures first shift branch deliveries, receiving & put-away, inventory counts and analysis, location maintenance and down stocking, clean IB docks and work assigned KPI’s are completed within established timelines.
- Ensures second shift branch picking, staging & loading, quality checks, customer picking, staging & loading, cleaning OB docks and work assigned KPI’s are completed within established timelines.
- Responsible for the order, organization, and cleanliness of responsible areas of the facility.
- Ensures accurate and timely facility inspections are performed monthly and are entered into digital reporting tool.
What we need from you:
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent and some college coursework in business, supply chain, or related field
- 5 or more years’ experience with warehousing, supply chain, and related functions.
- Experience with facility start-ups and “go live” operations.
- HVAC, Appliances, Plumbing, Commercial Cooking knowledge a plus.
- Enterprise ERP experience working with various platforms.
- Knowledge and execution of a quality system (ISO preferred), LEAN, and Six Sigma principals
- Worked in Manufacturing and/or Distribution Industry with Specific experience with Manufacturing and/or Distribution technologies and applications including ERP or Traffic Management Systems (TMS)
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or a related field or the equivalent in relatable work experience.
- 3 or more years’ experience with warehousing, supply chain, and related functions.
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
- Use computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
- Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
