Position Summary:

The Regional Director of Operations provides leadership, governance and management support to the delivery system, including assigned health centers and associated service delivery areas. The Regional Director of Operations leads teams to meet and exceed patient experience, quality and business success targets. The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for understanding the current state of assigned Health Center business areas and communities to drive both new and improved programs and processes in accordance with HealthPoint services delivery requirements, business strategy and brand. The Regional Director of Operations is a major connector with central administrative roles, in partnership with the Regional Director of Clinical Care.

As a key leader of HealthPoint the Regional Director of Operations creates and fosters a culture of inclusivity, respect, understanding, compassion and empowerment in service to the well-being and growth of its patients, communities and employees.

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Provide guidance and support to assigned Health Centers' to develop dynamic, business savvy Health Center strategies that align with corporate vision and strategy, company direction and focus. Work to align site-level strategies with company plan and budget, managing to maximize services for assigned community and sites.
  • Provide leadership, operational oversight and support for assigned locations and communities to best enable Health Centers to provide quality patient experience and business success.
  • Review regularly key internal and external performance metrics and information; understand and share with Health Centers current state of assigned locations and communities, including competition and community need; share and spread best practices.
  • Work with other regional Directors, the VPs of Patient Experience, Clinical Care and Population Health to anticipate changes based on community need, align business direction and clinical direction, and to plan, design and implement changes.
  • Participate in the development of integrated patient care and service delivery methods that improve the patients' experiences and maximize performance on key metrics.
  • Translate organizational strategies to the delivery system level and engage Health Center leadership to provide delivery system perspective to the organizational level.
  • In partnership with the Regional Director of Clinical Care and others, identify and mitigate barriers that impede success to ensure a seamless experience for patients and an optimal experience for staff in delivering services.
  • Support HealthPoint Business Directors and HealthPoint Clinical Directors in developing and enhancing local community partnerships in alignment with and across communities.
  • In alignment with HealthPoint's Management System, serve as a mentor and coach for other operational leaders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition, and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to streamline and enhance office operations using the HealthPoint Lean Management System (HLMS) tools and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must have's you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelors' degree in business, health care management or a related field and minimum 7 years' experience in care delivery operations in leadership role with 5+ years' experience in regional operations (oversight of multiple locations and programs) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience and success developing others through influence and management while fostering excellence. Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and promote teamwork across disciplines and cross-intuitionally. Committed to both accepting and managing for accountability with track record of building capacities for continuous improvement. Interest and track record in developing others. High emotional intelligence, self-awareness and knowledge of leadership best practices. Practices leadership consistent with HealthPoint values of integrity, cooperation, responsibility, wisdom, creativity and respect.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and knowledge of the HealthPoint business. Demonstrated business acumen and systems-level thinking; takes initiative to pursue and use information needed to run the business and measurably improve the enterprise as a whole. Exceptional process and project management expertise.
  • Exceptional communication skills to support decision-making, setting and managing expectations and fostering team commitment to shared outcomes. Strong listening skills to both solicit input and communicate decisions for clarity and alignment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen awareness of how to manage communication through to outcome. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and self-awareness in working with others. Practices confidentiality and discretion.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint's insurance carrier.

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
