Job description

The Regional Director of Operations will partner with the Vice President of Operations, generally supervising the General Managers, ensuring that each hotel is maximizing the Guest and Associate experience and compliant with Logos and brand policies. This role motivates, coaches, and trains GMs, holds team members accountable, and provides appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition. The role must demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, and nurture a positive, professional work environment. Additionally, the role must be prepared to Task Force at any site, in any capacity to ensure success, based on operational needs.


Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Logos standards as required by scheduling.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and personal “brand”.
  • Assist with continual compliance with Logos and Brand regulations to encourage safe and efficient Hotel Operations.
  • Assist each Logos hotel with maximizing the Guest and Associate experience.
  • Motivate, coach and train Logos General Manager team members, set goals and hold GM team members accountable, and provide appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition.
  • Report operations reporting and record keeping updates with Logos hotels and at corporate.
  • Partner with the attainment of each hotel’s annual Business Plan.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and ensure development of, and adherence to, Logos’ Hotel Operations policies, protocols and SOPs.

Primary Functions:

Revenue:

  • Aggressively pursue revenue goals, effectively use yield management and revenue maximization tools.

Profit:

  • Effectively monitor and partner to control all operational expenses including labor, overtime, supplies, etc..
  • Enforce procurement guidelines and implement cost-saving strategies.

Quality:

  • Guest Service: Ensure that the hotel meets/exceeds LOGOS and Brand standards for guest satisfaction.
  • Training: Analyze service and quality issues, identify training needs, ensure implementation of training programs to optimize results, and adhere to LOGOS’s training guidelines and policies.
  • Sales & Marketing: Provide leadership support and direction to the sales team, take an active role in the preparation and implementation of the hotel’s annual Marketing plan, make sales calls to Key accounts, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.

Community Involvement:

  • Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government and other community and civic organizations.

Leadership:

  • Leading: Motivate, coach and train team members, set goals and hold team members accountable, and provide appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adhere to LOGOS’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Engage the process of developing the annual Business Plan for each hotel.
  • Partner with the VP Ops with the approved budget for each managed hotel.
  • Gain and maintain excellent knowledge of competition and general industry trends.
  • Monitor operating results and compare outcomes with budgets and with industry averages.
  • Motivate, coach, and train General Managers, set goals, hold team members accountable, and provide appropriate feedback.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Send an end-of-day email to the VP Ops.
  • Read daily Emails from General Managers and respond as appropriate.
  • Inspect Logos hotels for Logos Quality Assurance standards.
  • Track Logos’ performance standards for each hotel. Performance standards include:
    • Brand & Logos Quality Assurance
    • Market Share Indices (MSI)
    • Net Operating Income (NOI)
    • Record keeping and reporting.
    • Supplies storage, ordering and PAR maintenance protocols.
    • Brand & Logos Guest Satisfaction Indices (GSI)
    • Logos Associate Satisfaction Index (ASI)
