Overview: Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is seeking a visionary Regional Director passionate about education, philanthropy, and community development.The ideal candidate will excel in managing programs, leading a team, fostering partnerships, driving financial growth and be adept at building brand awareness and delivering compelling presentations to business and community organizations. This position serves as a one of five Wisconsin area board leaders and is supported by the state team, reporting to the President. This position is responsible for strategic planning, team management and recruiting and placing volunteers.

Responsibilities:

Philanthropy and Fundraising:

• Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure support from corporations, foundations, and individuals.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, seeking opportunities for grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Implement innovative approaches to diversify revenue streams and achieve fundraising goals.

Education Program Quality & Growth:

• Develop strong relationships with school leaders and teachers, matching JA resources to needs.
• Recruit, train and place volunteers and create positive volunteer experiences.
• Oversee planning, execution, and evaluation of JA's educational programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and educational standards.
• Collaborate with schools, educators, and volunteers to deliver impactful curriculum-based programs promoting financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness among students.

Events Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute programmatic and fund-raising events to promote JA's mission and engage the community.
• Drive event strategies to maximize participation, revenue generation, and awareness of JA's programs.

Financial Management:

• Manage the regional budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide regular reports and updates on financial metrics to the senior leadership team.

Board Development:

• Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans supporting JA's mission and financial growth objectives.
• Engage and support board members in fundraising, advocacy, and governance activities.
• Help identify, recruit and train leadership for board positions.
• Provide key information and updates and staff board committees.

Public Relations

• Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance JA's visibility and reputation within the community and among stakeholders.
• Deliver compelling presentations to business and community organizations, advocating for JA's mission and fostering partnerships.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent business experience. Proven experience (5 years) in nonprofit management, with a focus on fundraising, program development, and stakeholder engagement. Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate JA's mission and impact to diverse audiences. Exceptional leadership and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated success in achieving development and program goals. Knowledge of educational systems and experience in curriculum development or education program management is a plus. Ability to travel within the region and work flexible hours as required.
