The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is looking for a Regional Community Activation Organizer to play a key role in our relational organizing efforts in targeted time zones. You will recruit, train, and manage teams of volunteers to execute the campaign’s relational organizing and events program. This program will drive daily relational voter contact, relational capacity building, and volunteer led community events.
 

Ideally, you thrive in fostering a culture of excellence and setting high goals across various time zones. You’ve got a proven history of guiding and mentoring volunteer teams to achieve ambitious targets. You specialize in cultivating strong relationships and establishing robust processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set and define goals for the relational organizing program in conjunction with the Regional Community Activation Directors.
  • Build teams of volunteers to implement and execute upon the campaign’s overall relational organizing plan
  • Build strong relationships with relational volunteers and volunteer event hosts, have strong 1:1s, and facilitate relational voter contact shifts.
  • Engage volunteers to begin relationally organizing with Biden for President / the Democratic Coordinated Campaign, host events with the campaign, and take on volunteer leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
     
 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 campaign cycles of experience as an organizer or digital organizer;
  • Demonstrated passion for relational organizing.
  • Experience with managing volunteers, especially volunteer leadership development;
  • Proficiency with organizing tools such as Mobilize America and VAN;
  • Familiarity with Slack, Zoom (or equivalent), Google Drive;
  • Strong in-person communication and writing skills;
  • Able to drive volunteer programs across time zones;
  • Ready to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to be flexible with workstreams and tasks over time.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Required: Low, 10%
Salary: The salary for this position is $62,400, on an annualized basis. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and this position has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
Due to FEC regulations, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible to apply for this role.
