POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager is accountable for the profitable growth of the company’s regional accounts primarily in Tier 1 automotive plants and general manufacturing facilities.  She/He has responsibility for planning sales strategy, determining an appropriate sales visit plan, customer communications and relationship management, and internal coordination of pricing, quoting, and customer service activity in support of these regional accounts.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIIES/DUTIES:

•    Developing individual sales strategies for effective penetration of accounts. Customer facing time is a primary driver for our clients. 
•    Identifying and initiating customer projects, determined via knowledge of customer facility plans, product rollouts, facility overhauls and capital budgets.   
•    Understand individual market dynamics, barriers to entry, technologies, key players, competitors, distribution channels and options, etc.  Become the expert.  
•    Evaluate attractiveness of potential new accounts. 
•    Work with senior management team to decide on new products/services to pursue.
•    Work with Sourcing team to deliver against required specs for projects or large quotes while meeting time deadlines. 
•    Work with Management and Customer Service on development of sales plan, support materials, and approach to clients, pricing, etc.

EDUCATION/EXIRENCE:

•     4 year degree, preferable. 
•    Have substantial experience in Account Management in either the commercial or consumer setting, or a demonstrated history of success in sales growth.  
•     Experience in developing new clients, new business, new distribution channels, will be valuable. 
•     Must have strong analytic skills, the ability to motivate others, and provide leadership to accomplish team goals without direct authority over team members.
•    Must be willing to take risks and lead company into new opportunities
