Regional Business Development Manager - Battery Production

Main objectives

  • The objective for the role is to ensure that our client maximizes its sales growth opportunities in the expansion and development of new Battery Production Giga-factories and associated value chain. The position will focus on the US proactively and could potentially support select projects in Canada and Mexico - also supporting a global network of stakeholders based in Europe and Asia. A large portion of time will be allocated to developing specific focus customers (first priority end-users and EPCs), while also allowing time for strategic initiatives (contributing to associations and supporting marketing initiatives)
  • This Business Development role requires the application of highly specialized knowledge of the Battery Production Process and in the future complimentary markets, such as Battery Recycling, Active cathode production and/or Electrolyte Production. The role will mostly be allocating time to the strategic project-relevant buying center.
  • The role requires working closely with Sales Companies (SCs) to ensure projects are identified early and participates in specification and pre-sales phases. The role will also support and communicate with SCs to ensure the successful operational fulfillment of all projects.
  • The role will contribute to building market intelligence and practical competence in the GFPS organization and will participate in building a specialist network (specialist Battery organizations and strategic customers).
  • The current key focus applications will be in Cooling, Water and Wastewater, Process Automation, Utilities and Building Technology. The role needs to ensure that all focus areas are promoted (with the support of relevant specialists where required), while working in close collaboration with the SCs
  • The role will contribute to fulfilling the Business Case for Battery Production. It will assist in strategic understanding of the current and future Battery Production market and how our client should organize, resource and act, to reach the best possible sales result. The end goal is to generate a sustainable and fast growing new revenue stream for GFPS in the Battery Production market for the relevant region.
  • Experienced Business Development skill set, with a proven successful track record of delivering sales growth in the Battery Production market with a relevant organization.
  • Knowledge of the Lithium-Ion Battery Production processes and market.
  • Ability to develop complex customers and manage technical sales processes.
  • Able to strategically set goals and focus for Regional Business Development initiatives in collaboration with existing SCs and organizational fulfillment structures.
