This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work location is in Quincy, IL. This position is in office for 6-12 months, but can be work from home after the training period. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of all-payer payment policies, billing, and coding guidelines. Able to maintain current knowledge of the billing system to assist with the accurate processing of assigned workload. Display excellent written and verbal communication skills when interacting with internal staff members and outside organizations when necessary.

Responsibilities: The Refund Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate research of credit balance accounts, including personal and insurance accounts. This will involve refunding, initiating account adjustments, and contacting various insurance carriers to determine proper payment liability.

High school diploma or GED required. Five years of related experience in a healthcare claims position or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
