Job Description
Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Job Duties
· Handles Emergency service calls as directed during the day and after hours.
· Responds to customer service calls, checks indicated points of trouble, analyzes full requirements of systems involved and checks and tests system components. Diagnoses trouble or defect, determines corrective action and repairs system.
· Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system. Tests and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation.
· Identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work, system upgrades and service contact expansion. Prices, proposes and proceeds with new work as per guidelines.
· Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on automation systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation instructions.
· Completes and submits written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training..
- Braising and soldering skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
- Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to climb/lift heavy equipment.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Additional certification and Knowledge of the following is preferred: hvac, electrical, mechanical, process controls and willing to do FSD
