Refrigeration Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions,one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US,is looking to hire a skilled Refrigeration Technician! The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of reefer units. Trailer experience required as well.

Compensation: $33.00/hour - $43.00/hour; depending on experience- We pay weekly, every Friday.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Location: Cedar Falls, IA

What the Refrigeration Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
• 607 and 608 Certifications required and/or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Experience with PMs and A/C
• Must have valid Drivers License- Class C
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Ability to move and heavy objects.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
