Job description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with youth, volunteer coaches and parents in a semi-structured sports setting.
  • Enforce established rules for the sport and age divisions assigned.
  • Recognize and eliminate potential hazards from the playing area before and during games.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and serve as a positive representative of the YMCA at all times.
  • Recognize and work to de-escalate potential confrontations.
  • When not actively officiating, assist team with time keeping or other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum one season experience as a player or official for sports assigned.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-Lingual
