We have an immediate need for a Recycling Worker
What you Will Do:
Collect and transport recyclable materials from designated collection points, such as curbside bins, recycling depots, or commercial establishments.
Sort and separate recyclable materials based on their type, such as paper, plastic, glass, or metal, using appropriate tools and equipment.
Inspect materials for contaminants, such as non-recyclable items or hazardous substances, and remove them to maintain the quality of the recycling stream.
Operate machinery, such as balers, compactors, or shredders, to process recyclable materials into manageable forms for storage or transportation.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the recycling facility by regularly cleaning work areas, removing debris, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Assist with the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
Comply with safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and ensure efficient operations within the recycling facility.
Keep accurate records of materials received, processed, and shipped to maintain inventory control and facilitate reporting.
Stay informed about changes in recycling regulations, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve recycling practices.
