Job description

The RECX/CapEx Technician will install commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, as well as troubleshoot capabilities on refrigeration racks, cases, hvac, and control systems.
Your primarily position is to work with the RECX (Refrigeration CapEx) team to deliver excellent installation/service to achieve 100% equipment operation per scope of work. However, when additional resources are needed in the other self-perform areas of the business you may be called upon to assist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Survey stores and write up scopes of work/repairs needed on existing Refrigeration/HVAC/Control Systems.
  • Perform installations and equipment replacements for refrigeration/HVAC/Control systems.
  • Ensure completion of Punchlist to maximize system performance.
  • Collaborate with RECX Manager, Self-perform Teams, Director of EMS, Vendors, and other contractors to effect optimal project delivery on all projects when asked.
  • Perform onsite work for client in a timely and effective manner.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand building drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Experience in the supermarket or grocery industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration and EMS construction principles and related fields
  • Knowledge of controls systems and control sequences.
  • Ability to generate accurate detailed reports necessary.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a close nit team of committed professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both owners and with contractors as well as the ability to lead project meetings are necessary.
  • Desired experience includes a background in; Refrigeration, Hvac, controls, plumbing, fire protection, and/or electrical
  • Independent, self-starter
  • Willingness to Travel: Approximately 25-50% travel within a 200-mile radius. This may change from time to time based on business needs.
