The Recruitment and Retention Specialist will be responsible for directly support the mission of teacher recruitment and retention as needed, including but not limited to social media outreach as well as facilitating admissions, recruitment, and College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) efforts and events. This position will support forming effective partnerships with school districts and other educational leaders. This responsibility will include event planning, social marketing activities, and managing logistics for the various activities being developed by CEHD.
Duties & Responsibilities- Advocate for teacher education workforce
- Partner with school districts in recruiting efforts
- Support teacher education professional development opportunities
- Interface with the public regarding teacher recruitment and retention
- Social media management
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build relationships.
- Ability to travel throughout North Dakota and the region
- Strong communication skills and comfort in public speaking.
- Initiative to independently prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, problem-solve, and think critically.
- Ability to successfully work as part of a team and independently.
- Flexible to allow for some non-standard work hours to include overnight travel as well as evening and weekend events and activities.
- Strong organization skills, conscientiousness, and attention to detail
- Ability to utilize relevant technology and software proficiently
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or closely related field.
- Experience as a P-12 educator or school professional
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications- Master’s Degree or equivalent (e.g., 24 or more graduate professional development credits) in education or closely related field
