Position Focus:

Yale is modernizing the university staffing Talent Acquisition (TA) function to achieve our North Star of making hiring faster and simpler, resulting in more successful recruitment of highly talented and diverse employees for Yale. As a part of this transformative effort, we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiting Marketing Specialist to develop and execute recruitment marketing strategies for Yale TA broadly, and build campaigns for key roles throughout the university in alignment with our sourcing strategies; to manage and monitor marketing related data and metrics; and to align on standards and best practices for messaging to promote the Yale employer brand. This position will report directly to the TA Scouting Lead and will be a key member of the TA Strategic Sourcing team.

The Recruiting Marketing Specialist will strategically and consistently market and advertise employment opportunities at Yale on diverse platforms to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline and will partner with Internal Communications and hiring managers/unit leaders to highlight key employer value proposition messages.

Essential Duties

• Develop and execute creative marketing strategies for Yale TA including social media campaigns to activate the Yale brand and EVP. • Participate in the design and production of engaging employment branding/marketing materials and campaigns for internal and external recruiting communications that represent the Yale history, culture, and value proposition to candidates. Promote DEI and Belonging and Yale’s value of DEIB through marketing. • Evaluate mediums and combinations of mediums (e.g., social media, email, advertisements, webpages, print, news source) for effectively sharing general Yale employment messages and job ads. • Present a clear, consistent, and attractive employer brand while sourcing for candidates. Use programmatic ad buying and targeted strategies to stay in front of job seekers to continually build talent pipelines. Leverage cutting edge tools, methodologies, and strategies to source and convert passive candidates to active candidates. Set strategy for how to re-engage with interested job seekers, targeted talent pipelines, silver medalists, etc. • Monitor and increase the visibility of postings and advertisements. Define and track metrics related to marketing and advertising outcomes and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement. Evaluate yield of advertising tools and sources and manage investments accordingly. • Partner with the TA Partners to train, support and develop the critical language to engage in storytelling and key marketing messages for job postings and advertisements.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skill/Ability 1:

Proven record of success in developing and executing successful recruitment marketing campaigns. Demonstrated practice of implementing successful sourcing strategies and tactics, including use of Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Required Skill/Ability 2:

Previous demonstrated ability in marketing or advertising including social media platforms. Strong, creative writing and communication skills.

Required Skill/Ability 3:

Ability to read and translate marketing metrics and data to extract key themes, lessons learned and ultimately to use those to influence future strategies at the individual role and university-wide levels.

Required Skill/Ability 4:

The ability to influence and create brand ambassadors for Yale. Ability to build strong networks internally and externally.
