The Recruiting Coordinator plays a crucial role in promoting Transystems by recruiting talent from outside the company, while emphasizing the strategic aspect of finding the right individuals to contribute to Transystems’ growth and success.
Essential Internal Job Functions:
- Work closely with Administration, Safety, Operations, and Maintenance teams to align staffing efforts
- Produce leads for open positions
- Work with creative content developer to create advertising targeted to the desired demographic
- Evaluate advertising methods (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc) to determine the most appropriate for the position and area and adjust if needed
- Create mutually beneficial relationships with advertising vendors
- Weekly reporting on application handling to division management team
- Review resumes and applications to provide guidance and recommendations on candidate selection
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings
- Keep candidates informed about the status of their applications
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date notes in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Generate recruitment reports and metrics to track and analyze the effectiveness of recruitment efforts
- Project visits – getting to know our current employees to help recruit more, testimonials, advertising content
- Coaching operations and administration on recruiting best practices
Essential External Job Functions:
- Identify, establish and nurture relationships with community organizations, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions to identify training opportunities, potential candidates, and funding
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to leverage community partnerships to attract diverse candidates
- Organize and participate in job fairs, career expos, and community events to promote Transystems and connect with potential candidates
- Provide regular updates on recruiting activities and their effectiveness
Successful Recruiting Coordinator Candidates Have:
- 3+ years’ experience in recruitment, hiring, or management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to learn company specific software
- Strong knowledge of advertising and recruiting methods, including sourcing, interviewing, and assessment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
- 50% travel. Occasional overnight travel
