Job description

Under the direction supervision of the Senior Human Resources Recruiter, the Temp Recruiting Assistant will assist in the day-to-day Recruiting operations of the Human Resources Department. This position will collaborate with a recruitment team (Sr. Recruiter, Recruiter, and Recruiting Assistant). 

This is a temporary, grant funded position with an assignment of six months (January 2024 - June 2024). This position will be 40 hours per week and will be eligible for full benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.)

 

Essential Duties:

  • Provides excellent customer service to all Jefferson Center employees, as well as outside applicants and vendors by answering routine inquiries within a 24-hour timeframe.
  • Assist with logistical details which includes setting up interviews and securing conference rooms as needed.
  • Assist with answering all incoming recruiting phone calls.
  • Assist with the full-cycle recruiting process.
  • Assist in sourcing resumes.
  • Orders and tracks results for Background checks, CAPS, Trails, Fingerprinting, and Motor Vehicle Record. Coordinates and tracks results for Drug Screening tests.
  • Administers the Onboarding process; Schedule new hire for orientation, process in HRIS (UKG), setup new hire job data in HRIS payroll system.
  • Update applicant status in Applicant Tracking System (UKG) as needed.
  • Submits Position Requests for approval using Applicant Tracking System.
  • Posts approved positions for advertising using several social media options & job boards.
  • Processes Purchase Orders for recruiting function; Bonuses, relocation expenses, referrals, invoices.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.

  • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • High School degree or GED equivalent required; advanced related education preferred.
  • A background in administrative support of a department required. Experience supporting recruiting team highly preferred.
  • Proficient in computer technology, including basics of Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word and Excel. HRIS (UKG) experience and knowledge a plus.
  • Experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking system highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use good judgment and professionalism, along with managing multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, dependability, and initiative.

 

Salary: $21.00/hr - $22.00/hr*

Additional Salary Information*: 

  • All salaries at Jefferson Center are calculated based on years of total relevant experience.*
  • The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
