Job description

The Recruiting and Retention Specialist is responsible for ensuring the hourly workforce remains at or near authorized headcount as indicted by Human Resources. By improving the public’s awareness of our business as an employer for the greater Athens GA area, the Recruiting and Retention Specialist will attract candidates to our company through formal and informal branding initiatives, advertising campaigns and direct marketing activities. Additionally, the Recruiting and Retention Specialist will strive to preserve existing talent through the creation and management of a robust Employee Retention Program.

 


• Planning and implementing recruitment marketing strategies.
• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates.
• Planning and management of recruitment media campaigns and budget adherence.
• Designing and leading direct marketing and recruitment activities and events.
• Overseeing the company's career site and social media accounts.
• Collaborate with and assist HR with the company's hiring needs and writing attractive job descriptions.
• Identifying and leverage effective tactics and platforms to attract candidates.
• Manage organizational attrition rates to align with industry norms.
• Interface with technical colleges/universities as Power Partners liaison for select campus recruitment programs.
• Managing Power Partners participation in select industry and government programs and functions to maximize brand exposure and generate opportunities to recruit new talent. Example DOD skills bridge.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety rules and guidelines.

Education or Equivalent (any of these may apply):
• A bachelor or associate degree in HR, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7 years’ experience in Recruiting and Retention, marketing, sales, or advertising.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in the Spanish language is a plus.
• An excellent knowledge of employer branding strategies and recruitment processes.
• Excellent creative thinking and communication skills.
• Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including publisher software, and communicating effectively via email and phone.

Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move around in the factory.
• Regularly required to operate a vehicle during regular business hours. Primarily traveling to and meeting involved parties to achieve goals.
