SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Partner, provides internal consultative support to program and department leaders and hiring managers on talent attraction, recruitment, and selection strategies. Provides support in planning, organizing, and carrying out talent acquisition and other talent-related initiatives, goals, objectives and projects. Partners with the Director of Human Resources and organizational leaders to identify and support the implementation of retention strategies. Works closely with HR team members to support the overall mission of CFS.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and deploying recruitment strategies, effective onboarding practices, data reporting, records management, implementation of policies and procedures, retention strategies, etc. Additional duties include collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for vacancies; representing CFS at career fairs and other recruiting events; posting job vacancies and advertisements. Conducts background and reference checks; coordinates new hire orientation; maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws and mandates. Supports the HR Department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience; manages special projects and prepares ad hoc reports, presentations and other information; and performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Human Resources preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Over two years, up to and including four years.
  • Experience in human resources generalist duties, to include but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, data reporting, and compliance. Any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of staffing systems and tools
  • Experience in managing applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • Knowledge of relevant social media platforms

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
  • Requires contacts both inside and outside the organization in order to furnish or obtain information and/or provide participant services. Normal courtesy, tact and discretion required.
