DSAL’s mission is to implement the Community Capitals Policing model, which builds on existing
community capitals (natural, human, social, economic, built, political and cultural) to create safer,
healthier, more vibrant communities with authentic opportunities for all.
DSAL, a standalone 501(c)(3) nonprofit, works within the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Youth & Family
Services Bureau, alongside sworn Sheriff’s Office personnel and behavioral health clinicians to accomplish
this mission.
DSAL recreation programs offer free soccer, futsal, boxing, fitness, dance, wrestling, summer camp, golf
camp and other activities for low-income community members and provide opportunities for sheriff's
deputies to interact positively with members of the community. Our recreation programs include the
DSAL Boxing Academy, Muevete, Corica Park Greenway Golf Camp and the DSAL 49ers PREP Flag Football
League.
DSAL community development programs endeavor to provide support for community groups, empower
residents to engage in the political process, engage in creative placemaking, and make their neighborhoods
more vibrant, healthy places to live, work and play.

Job Summary
DSAL Futsal Court Coordinator will be responsible for opening and closing procedures for daily/nightly
Futsal court. This role also will require daily monitoring of attendance and structured play at the Futsal
courts. This role also requires concession sales and inventory monitoring as well as cash handling.
Key Responsibilities
● Maintain opening and closing responsibilities of Futsal courts on a daily basis.
● Participate in all DSAL Recreational Soccer League operations
● Monitor and maintain sales of merchandise and concessions at Futsal courts
● Delegate court use and game times during open court hours
● Assist on administrative matters as directed by Facilities Coordinator, Athletic Director and
Director of Rec Soccer
● Monitor and maintain social media posting of schedule and usage availability,
● Assist in and help coordinate and supervise external use of facilities. (ie. tournaments, birthday
parties, event coordination, etc.)
● Attendance at staff meetings
● All other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include:
● Minimum 1 year of Soccer/Futsal coaching experience
● Soccer/Futsal playing experience preferred
● Knowledge of the game of soccer and futsal
● Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with coaches, families, referees and children
● Desire to take the initiative to fix problems and fill needs as they arise
● Ability to handle money responsibly and transact cash sales
● Ability to lift, carry and move up to 75lbs
● Spanish fluency preferred
Organizational Role and Supervisor
The DSAL Futsal Court Coordinator will report to the DSAL Facilities Coordinator, and be part of the DSAL
Athletics and Recreation staff.
Location
Primary location will be at Sunset Futsal Courts at Hayward Adult School but may require remote locations
within Alameda County as necessary.
Type of Employment
This is a part time position and includes the following benefits:
● Part Time Benefits: (20-31 hours per week)
● Health Insurance (50% of employee health insurance premium for Bronze or Silver level or
$62.50/PP Health Stipend)

Compensation
$23/hr.
