In addition, Specialists have management oversight over a group of the smaller community centers. The work responsibilities for the position include the following: planning and developing recreation programs; administering recreation programs; promoting recreation programs; providing management oversight to a group of smaller community centers; and performing other related administrative duties. The Recreation Area Supervisor differs from the Recreation Specialist in that the Supervisor has oversight over the larger community centers as well as the Specialists who have oversight over recreation programming and smaller community centers. Incumbents report directly to the Recreation Area Supervisor.
