We are hiring for a full-timeRecreation Specialistin Bentonville, AR!
The Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center, managed by HealthFitness, has several exciting full-time opportunities onsite for Recreation Specialist. In this role, you'll report to the Recreation Director and will be organizing recreation activities and sporting events to both children and adults, helping with various tournaments, recreation and teambuilding events, and assisting customers at the recreation desk. Schedule is based on planned events & leagues and will include some evenings & weekends. 35-40 hours per week with full benefits & PTO!

What you'll be doing:
- Assist in the promotion & timely running of recreation events including tournaments, mixers, leagues, and play events. May teach individual/group sports lessons to children and adults while providing a fun, engaging playing environment that addresses the skill level of the students.
- Assist members/guests at the recreation desk with enrollment, purchases, reservations, and equipment checkout using our software management system.
- Racquet restringing, regripping, minor court/equipment maintenance.
- Preparation and breakdown of recreation equipment for events.
- Ensure students/players adhere to safety guidelines and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
- Provide limited sports training (if certified from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider).
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
Role requirements:
- Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED & First Aid certifications through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to hire.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while running events.
- Professional appearance and attitude. Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
- Ideal applicants will also have experience with one or more of the following: stringing racquets, sports official/referee certification, league or tournament administration, and/or 3+ years of experience working in recreation planning/implementation.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
