Recreation Program Specialist - Eagan Art House
Pay: $21.63 per hour
Part-Time Recurring (Year-Round), Not Benefit Eligible
Up to 20 hours per week
Position starts January 2024
The Eagan Art House is Hiring a Program Specialist!
We're seeking a positive, curious, organized individual to support our staff with creative art experiences for our diverse community. This position will include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
The Eagan Art House team is highly collaborative and committed to providing creative opportunities for all ages.

Essential Position Functions

• Provide customer support in person and via email and phone
• Coordinate private group classes, off-site workshops, and field trips
• Coordinate youth and teen program curriculum with teaching staff
• Oversee inventory and obtain supplies as needed
• Track enrollment for registered programs
• Assist in class development, growth, implementation, and scheduling
• Coordinate program communication with customers and team members
• Provide support to Eagan Art House Teachers
• Assist in the selection, training, scheduling, and supervision of seasonal staff, instructors, volunteers and partnering organizations
• Assist with event planning and coordination
• Coordinate grant programming for neighborhood engagement
• Administer basic first aid as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
What do I need to apply for this position?

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to socially, physically and mentally perform all job duties as described above

Helpful experience for this position:

• Paid work and/or volunteer experience with a school, arts organization, Parks & Recreation department, or customer service business
• Friendly with great communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Desire to learn and comfortable asking questions
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience working with Rec Trac or other program registration software
• Flexible work schedule with evening and weekend availability

Supervision of Others:Program Assistant may provide work direction to other staff, volunteers, and participants.

Working Hours and Conditions:
Working hours may include daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Employee may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
