Recovery Tissue Courier (Per Diem) - Wichita

POSITION PURPOSE:

This mission-centered position is responsible for the transport of supplies, ocular tissue and blood samples between satellite facilities and the Kansas City lab.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a Saving Sight fleet vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Transport supplies, ocular tissue and blood samples between satellite facilities and the Kansas City lab.
• Document date and time of pickup and delivery occurrences.
• Respond to calls for deliveries in a timely manner.
• Refuel fleet vehicle as needed.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been acquired.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

• Professional interpersonal, written, verbal, and phone communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to
• Ability to work independently, with limited direction, and in a team
• Ability to document activities on a manual or electronic log.
• Must be able to handle information in a confidential, objective, professional
