SalaryGEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge and demonstrated application of the Y-12 Classified Matter Protection and Control (CMPC) requirements, successful completion of CMPC classroom training, information system security officer training.
- Working knowledge of site procedures concerning the handling of classified/controlled unclassified information is required.

Overview:
- Reviewing boxes for classification markings, ensuring correct information is contained in the box, perform inventory, perform scanning of documents and placing those documents in a shared folder.
- Perform in accordance with procedures and desktop instructions.
- Process incoming/outgoing mail in the Y-12 Mail Center.
- Process incoming/outgoing classified mail.
- Process correspondence action tracking system actions. Handle other administrative job duties as needed.
- Create/revise technical forms.
- Data management.
- Interface with customers.
- Build/revise forms that include digital signature, workflow, expanded fields in tables, inclusion of formulas, using Microsoft Word (Developer), Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
- To be considered, you must have an active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

The NNSA's Y-12 National Security Complex, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is the nation’s only source of enriched uranium nuclear weapon components and provides enriched uranium for the U.S. Navy as well as excels in materials science, precision manufacturing, and stores enriched uranium. Y-12 supports efforts to reduce nuclear proliferation risk and performs work for other government agencies (energy.gov).
