Job Description
The Records Center Technician II is responsible for routine clerical and related work in a Records Management, and Records Center Operation. Employees are primarily responsible for retrieving, refiling/interfiling, shelving, and processing of public records; delivering and retrieving requested documents from County departments; maintaining record logs; and performing routine cleaning of lifts and flatbed carts. Incumbents provide courier service, maintain software, and adhere to state and federal laws and regulations in the day-to-day operations.
Essential Duties
  • Labels boxes/packages for tracking and identification
  • Receives shipments and verifies contents of inventories
  • Delivers and retrieves physical and electronic records and logs
  • Maintains logs and performs data entry
  • Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, completing standard documents, preparing, sorting, entering data, and running reports
  • Processes basic forms by reviewing for proper signature, ensuring fields are completed, verifying standard or basic data, and collecting fees when appropriate
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Grade
The grade for this position is A13(2). Salary is based on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two (2) years of automated warehouse or inventory control experience; or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residency,

The Support Services team manages the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities; manages the acquisition and disposal of real property and right-of-way; supports the delivery of essential services through the purchase and maintenance of the County's fleet and the purchase and dispensing of fuel; manages residential solid waste contracts; manages cafeteria and food service contracts; and provides records management services, mail services, housekeeping services, and grounds services to support County operations.

In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett, they include the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, District Attorney, Solicitor, Probate Court Judge, and Chief Magistrate.
