Recon & Access Control Specialist

The purpose of this job is to support the Recon & Access Control Manager as assigned and requested in any of the processes, functions and activities pertaining to the reconcilement of asset and cash positions, and seek corrective measures when instructed. The job also requires effective electronic Access Control under bank policy and/or industry best practices of the various systems and applications used in Wealth Management processes, and to provide coaching and solutions to internal associates and external clients to resolve access problems. The job will support processes that research discrepancies or potential errors in Trust activities and recommend corrective actions to the manager.

• Support as assigned or requested the assurance that asset and cash reconcilements are performed and reported in a timely, accurate and complete manner, and that reconcilement discrepancies are corrected or escalated to the manager.
• Support as assigned or requested in the providing of information or reporting to management, internal auditors and compliance officers as required or requested.
• Support as assigned or requested the processes that allow internal and external users the ability to gain proper and authorized access to systems in a manner to assure Wealth Management processes remain efficient and effective, and that clients and their related parties experience excellent service levels. Support the maintenance of documents authorizing user access, and monitor user access activity for potential abuse.
• Continuously develop personal subject matter expertise on the characteristics of user access security, reconcilement and activity researching processes, and testing operational methods.
• Support the Recon & Access Control Manager and the Wealth Management Firm Operations Manager as requested for unit projects, or operational events.

• General accounting, including aspects of debits, credits and reconciling balances.
• Working knowledge of application user Access Control.
• Working knowledge of the characteristics of a broad range of marketable and non-marketable debt or equity securities, real estate, mineral interests, collectibles, partnerships, or assets held at other institutions for the benefit of our Trust clients.

Degree:

• High School Degree plus 10 years of experience in a role pertaining to application Access Control, reconcilements and research in a financial institution;
• Technical/Vocational School plus 4 years of experience in a role pertaining to application Access Control, reconcilements and research in a financial institution
• Associates Degree in a business related field plus 3 years of experience in a role pertaining to application Access Control, reconcilements and research in a financial institution
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field plus 1 year of experience in a role pertaining to application Access Control, reconcilements and research in a financial institution

Preferred Certificates:

• Past attainment of a FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, etc.
• Certified Securities Operations Professional (“CSOP”)
• Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (“CFIRS”)
• Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (“CTFA”)
• Graduate from Cannon Financial Schools, Southern Trust School or Northern Trust School
• DTCC Learning Certifications
