As Sales Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Accurately entering sales orders in a timely manner received by phone, fax, email, or e-commerce site into CRM database. Acknowledging order receipt; providing stock status, and shipment information.
- Invoicing daily the released orders based on the customers’ requirements and apply additional charges if noted. Follow up with supplying the customer with Invoice copy.
- Responding to inquiries by obtaining customer contact information, product interest, application need, industry details, and purchasing horizon.
- Assisting customer or prospect in product selection. Seeking technical assistance when needed.
- Maintaining a CRM database of existing and prospective customers by adding new customers and prospects and removing dead leads.
- Expediting rush orders, which includes shipping after 3:00 p.m.
- Producing weekly sales reports to management and generate other sales reports upon request.
- Processing RMAs using a tracking program and follow up to determine satisfaction.
- Working with sales manager, engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to address and resolve customer issues.
- Answering phone calls forwarded by the automated phone attendant and route calls to the appropriate person/department
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is essential. Knowledge of Adobe a plus. Must also have familiarity with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software package.
2. High School Diploma.
3. The ability and desire to learn technical information about the company’s products.
4. Proven success in a customer- oriented environment and maintaining positive customer relationships.
5. Good judgment in decision making, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
6. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a well-organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, functioning with little supervision.
7. Must possess good telephone etiquette and be comfortable initiating telephone contact.
