Receptionist/Program Assistant

Hours: Full Time; Monday-Friday 6:45am - 3:00pm Additional hours available Tuesday and Thursday until 5pm

Position is available immediately.

Duties: The Program Assistant provides high-level administrative support. This includes support to all staff including, but not limited to: reception, week-day dosing check-in, data entry, safer drug use sex supply distribution, inventory, technical support, office supply purchasing, and HIV/HCV testing. This role is the first person that visitors and clients encounter. This position requires the ability to treat everyone with respect, regardless of who they appear to be.

Experience: This person must be ethical, self-motivated, open to learning new tasks, comfortable asking questions, organized and familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Prior experience in an office setting is preferred. This position requires working independently and as part of a team. Ability to respond constructively to feedback is imperative. Training will be provided for supply exchange, HIV testing, and confidentiality protection laws.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Excellent computer literacy and skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; and knowledge of basic office equipment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
• Organization and time management skills to develop and maintain manual and computerized filing systems
• Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and maintain workflow for our agency
• Demonstrate ability to effectively and diplomatically handle a wide range of demanding inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources.
