Receptionist/ Medical Assistant (Spanish And English )

Health Watch family medical clinic is seeking to hire a Part-time or full front office secretary/team Lead We are independently owned and operated, and we are based in Oklahoma City. As the “face” of our clinic and the first person our patients see, you should have a very friendly and kind approach to working with people. We operate Monday-Friday from 9am AM to 5PM by appointment and by walk-ins. We prefer a candidate who is bi-lingual (English and Spanish), but we are prepared to hire a person who meets the requirements of the position. A friendly manner and attention to detail are very important.

Job responsibilities include:

Greeting patients in a cheerful manner and helping them with their paperwork.

Checking insurance eligibility for various insurance companies (Medicaid, BCBS, UHC…

Answering multiple phone lines

Document management (copy, scan, review fax inbox documents)

**Completing patient referrals- fax and scheduled appointments for patients to be seen by a specialist.

**Managing social media accounts (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn…. by responding to patient’s communications through social media when the clinic is less busy.

Arranging for maintenance/ handyman repairs for the clinic as needed.

Organizing reviewing and responding to emails and mails

Managing Vaccines (familiarize with osiis website-input data in osiis, management vaccine inventory, print vaccine record for patients…)

**Requesting and sending requests for patient’s medical records

Requirements

High school diploma

Reliable transportation-We are a small clinic. Frequent shift cancellation will not be tolerated.

Adequate childcare if you are a parent as the clinic may close later than 5PM somedays depending on patient load on each given day.

A positive attitude is very important.

Be cooperative with staff and be compassionate with patients.

Be able to communicate clearly ( both oral and written communication )

Must be able to type as the position requires data entry/input into the EHR system.

Ability to work with difficult patients from time to time, work under pressure and multi-task.

Physical demands

Requires sitting and standing, light lifting

Compensation: $12- 15 per hour. Compensation will depend on experience.
