Temporary coverage for the Receptionist
SUMMARY:
Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Inquiries of all arrivals their reason for visit and notifies applicable department or directs/assists visitor to their destination as appropriate.
- Requires staff to display identification badges
- Responds to security concerns, deescalates verbal confrontations
- Observe everyone exiting with large packages and request that they comply with existing policy on package inspection
- Full knowledge of “Code Red” including location of fire extinguishers, fire alarm boxes, fire system (site specific). Full knowledge of all other codes, including “Code Green”
- Answers the main telephone line and transfers calls to appropriate department or individual
- Responsible for sorting all incoming mail by department
- Available for coverage of Human Resources receptionist when necessary (Lunch hour/benefit time).
- Identifying vendors, sales representatives, and FedEx, UPS drivers and indicate Vendor name, individuals’ name a well as date and time of visit in Vendor’s log book
- Secures delivered goods until moved by authorized individuals
- Additional duties as assigned to support department

QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma required
- Strong telephone skills, Verbal Communication, Microsoft Office Skills, Listening, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organization, Handles Pressure, Supply Management
