Receptionist

Come work at Animal Friends Veterinary Hospital, a dog, cat, and exotic clinic! We are expanding our team and looking for a part-time receptionist to join. The successful candidate can provide excellent customer service, answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and perform other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have receptionist experience with excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and can follow directions. All employees are required to work 1-2 Saturdays per month. We offer a family-oriented hospital that provides fantastic customer service and patient care. Applicants must be organized, punctual, hard-working, enjoy educating clients with our veterinarian's husbandry, and love to be a part of a team!

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Greet and welcome visitors and pets professionally.
• Flexible Schedule.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments, cancel appointments, give estimates for our services, and ask medical questions regarding appointments. Assisted with administrative tasks such as digital filing, data entry, stocking, scanning, and uploading.
• Gathering necessary data to set up appointments accurately, preparing medical records, immunization records, health certificates, and laboratory results. Set up medical records for all appointments, surgeries, and boarding stays.
• Assure that owners meet all financial obligations or that acceptable arrangements have been made. Collect client fees, make changes, and imprint credit card charge forms.
• Review charts of patients being discharged for completeness. Update of necessary information to all accounts. Determine whether immunizations/tests are current. Recommend updates of necessary immunizations/tests to clients.
• Supporting clients who are dealing with last-minute decisions on euthanasia. Send out sympathy cards or follow through on the other options available.
