I. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for presenting the very best first impression to patients of Simplicity Health. It includes answering phones from patients, clinics, families and other facilities; making appointments, following up on paperwork, and other administrative tasks. Simplicity Health values personal patient care, easy access, timely response and ongoing support of our patients. This position is the first gateway to that care.
II. Accountabilities: Lists the functions of this job.
- Provide optimal customer service by welcoming patients, answering patients’ questions as needed, and maintaining the reception area.
- Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments at optimal capacity.
- Answers all inbound calls and triages the needs of the caller. The callers include but are not limited to patients, physicians, labs, and other businesses while maintaining service standards.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by checking patient in timely, and reminding LPN’s of service delays.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, insurance and financial information.
- Process reschedules and recalls in work queues according service standards.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, and recommending changes/updates as needed.
- Works on projects as requested by Physicians, Office Manager or other as assigned.
III. Job Requirements: List the specific skills, knowledge and abilities that are required to perform this job. This must include experience, education and training.
- Experience with EPIC preferred
- 3-5 years of Medical Office reception experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Time Management skills required
- Organizational skills required
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills required
- Shows initiative and works well in a team environment as well as can work independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
