JOB SUMMARY
The Receiving Clerk enters transactions for the receipt and return of merchandise in the inventory system. Other responsibilities include printing/revising pick tickets, updating recaps, and clearing all aging reports for financial reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain all receiving documents from warehouses (PO Receiver/Counting receiving sheet)
- Print out a Deal Code Inquiry Report from Sage for the order being received.
- Count all items, note expiration date, and send for re-count if needed.
- Send email to purchasing/sales department with order information such as shortages, overages, expiration dates, and extra items received.
- Distribute the received merchandise according to the Deal Code Inquiry Report. Add dating, print pick tickets and provide PT to traffic department.
- Revise PT if necessary.
- Enter all received merchandise in Sage
- Create/Update PO recap. Make any necessary entries such as price adjustments, discounts, and freight charges, rounding differences, etc.
- Prepare payments according to Vendor terms.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SPECIALIZED SKILL/KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar position preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience using Sage 100 preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required
