Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Selkirk Sport Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process of our pickleball paddles. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. Come grow with one of the fastest growing companies in the greater Coeur d'Alene area!

Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
  • Fork lift experience is a plus.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Shipping and Receiving team. The Receiving Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and verifying the accuracy of the received items against purchase orders.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts and participating in periodic inventory audits.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate with shipping carriers, generate shipping labels, and ensure timely dispatch of customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet Selkirk Sport's standards before shipment.
  • Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to fulfill orders, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.`
  • Physical ability to lift and move boxes of various weights.

Skills Required

  • Eagerness to work together with team members and take direction from others to complete the tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to switch tasks as warehouse demands shift throughout the day.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Selkirk requires a 3-month probationary period before being considered for direct employment.

Starting wage: $18 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: 40 hours, inclusive of a half day on Fridays.
