SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley Construction is currently seeking an experienced Rebar Detailer for our rebar fabrication shop located in York, PA. The Rebar Detailer will play a crucial role in generating rebar placement drawings essential for field personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in rebar detailing.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction documents and drawings.
• Ability to review plans and specifications for completeness and prepare RFIs for additional information required.
• Experience in developing 2D placement drawings and materials lists using AutoCAD and aSa Bar List/Production programs upon receiving project documents.
• Capability to prepare detailed takeoffs.
• Coordination skills to collaborate with Project Estimator for effective project management and profitability.
• Strong communication abilities to interact with clients and troubleshoot field complications.
• Capacity to liaise with shop personnel to resolve fabrication issues promptly.
• Effective communication with senior team members regarding items with long lead times or specific material requirements on a project-by-project basis.
• Proficiency in coordinating the final scope of work and fabrication schedule requirements with clients.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on current technology and construction methods for production and quality improvement.
• Excellent time management skills to meet project schedules effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical education certificate or degree in CAD or a related field preferred.
• Strongly prefer 3-5 years of experience as a Rebar Detailer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently to meet tight deadlines.
• Preferably possess a working knowledge of PennDOT projects regarding rebar fabrication & supply.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of concrete and/or masonry work.
