Real Estate Lending Paralegal

Morgenstern DeVoesick PLLC is looking for a paralegal to join our growing firm in the Bushnell’s Basin area of Pittsford to work primarily on residential lending transactions with the ability to assist with purchase and sale Real Estate matters.

Our Real Estate Group encourages its paralegals to develop and hone their skills and expertise through hands-on experience drafting and reviewing purchase and sale documents, reviewing title matters, reviewing loan documents, handling closings, managing deadlines, and communicating with clients and other attorneys.

Ideal Qualifications:

· Experience working in Real Estate and lending

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Detail oriented

· Enjoys working independently and as part of a team

· Enjoys a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

· Review purchase and sale contracts, surveys, title commitments and exception documents

· Review mortgage commitment letters and lender prepared loan documents

· Prepare documents relating to a variety of Real Estate closings, including closing statements, escrow instructions, deeds, affidavits, POA’s and loan documents, etc.

· Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency

· Correspond with title companies regarding recording, requirements, and deadlines

· Prepare correspondence to clients, attorneys and title companies transmitting documents

· Schedule closings with lenders, attorneys and clients where applicable

· Conduct closings on behalf of the lender

· Working closely with attorneys to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and supporting a broad range of Real Estate transactions and projects

· Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product within stated deadlines

· Able to seek guidance when uncertain of tasks assigned or goals to be accomplished.

· Responsible for funding and disbursing files

· Responsible for tracking and completing post-closing items such as final title policies, 1099-S and escrows

· Ability to work on residential purchase and sale file transactions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,734.00 - $56,276.00 per year
