Turnkey Title is an attorney-owned Real Estate title and settlement company serving clients in North Central West Virginia. Our goal is to meet our clients' needs and expectations in a fast-paced and detail-oriented industry while still maintaining a relaxed and comfortable culture. Most work can be done from home, but some days we are required to be in the office for closings or client meetings.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team and support our legal department in handling Real Estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to attorney.

Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents related to Real Estate transactions, including deeds, mortgages, and title insurance policies.

Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls.

Maintain and organize physical and electronic files and records.

Conduct legal research and compile information as needed.

Communicate with clients, lenders, and other parties involved in Real Estate transactions.

Prepare correspondence and draft legal documents under the direction of attorney.

Assist in the preparation of closing documents and coordinate closings with all parties involved.

Handle incoming calls and inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Perform other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in legal studies preferred.

Proven experience working as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role, preferably in a title agency or Real Estate law firm.

Strong knowledge and prior experience of Real Estate transactions and title insurance procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
